The Twists and Turns of Slips and Falls

Life has many twists and turns, but it also has many slips and falls, especially if you live in Michigan.  How often do we experience icy surfaces covered by a thin blanket of snow?  The unsuspecting person thinks they will be walking on snow, and it gives them a sense of confidence that causes them to be careless.  SLIP!!!  BANG!!!  Before they know it, they are flat on their backs with little tweety birds circling their heads.

At Heib Chiropractic in Portage, Michigan we hear all the suffering souls lying on the sidewalks and driveways of southwest Michigan, USA.  We feel their pain even if they, themselves, don’t!  Many people get themselves up, brush off the snow and go along their way not experiencing much pain until days, weeks or months later when they bend over to pick up that pencil on the floor and their lower back seizes and drops them to the floor.  They think that at that point all their back problems started when, in fact, it started with that slip and fall on the ice.  The pencil was just the straw that broke the camel’s back.  The body has a wonderful way of compensating for injuries to keep you on your way and out of pain until it runs out of ways to compensate, and the price of that fall is finally paid.

So, I’m asking you that if your sister Barb suffered the type of fall on the ice that I have described have her call Heib Chiropractic whether she is suffering or not, and we will check her spine for all those “silent injuries” that can add up and become one painful noise.  At Heib Chiropractic, if you are beating yourself up and wearing yourself down, we will build you back up.  Our FEEL, FORM, FUNCTION Formula tells us the way you FEEL = the FORM of your body + the degree of Its FUNCTION.  Call us at (269) 324-0100 today!
