Ralph Gallagher, Massage Therapist
Ralph graduated from the Massage School of Santa Monica in 1997 and is a member of the National Association of Massage Therapists. He is licensed in the state of Michigan and continues his education on an ongoing basis. Originally practicing in southern California, he traveled to people's homes and worked for three years at the Ashram retreat where he learned the transformational effects of combining yoga with massage.
After returning to his home state of Michigan in 2002, he taught massage for three years at Olympia Career Training Institute, has worked for chiropractors, and has been deeply honored to provide massage to hospice patients since 2006.
Deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, reflexology, pre/post natal massage, shiatsu and myofascial release are some of the techniques Ralph uses to address each client's specific needs. Every massage is as unique as the individual receiving it and communication is strongly encouraged in order to customize the massage for the individual receiving the bodywork.
Valerie Smith, Massage Therapist
Valerie has been a massage therapist since 1991 and part of the Heib Chiropractic Clinic massage team since 2014. She graduated from the Crystal Circle Massage School, which later became the Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts. Most of her experience as a massage therapist has been in the clinical environment of a chiropractic clinic. She enjoys this type of setting because she feels the two professions compliment one another for the ultimate patient benefit.
Valerie practices various forms of massage including deep tissue, neuromuscular reeducation, Swedish Massage and myofascial release.
